Weather mainly dry in region

New Delhi, January 13
Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Departures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures changed little.

Departures: They were below normal in west Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Himachal Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 1.2ºC recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 15: Rain/snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 15: Mainly clear sky. Mist in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 0.6ºC.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of January 15: Sky will be mainly clear.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.

Amritsar remains coldest at 1.2° C

Chandigarh, January 13
The minimum temperatures today increased at many places in Punjab and Haryana giving some respite to the people from the cold conditions.

Ambala and Chandigarh recorded normal lows of 6.1° C and 6.8° C respectively, according to the Meteorological Department here.

The minimum teperature at Karnal increased by three degrees to record 5.7° C, while Rohtak had a low of 5.2° C and Hisar had 7.6° C, three degrees above normal.

Amritsar continued to be the coldest zone in the plains at 1.2° C and Ludhiana had a low of 6.5° C, up by one degree. Patiala also recorded an above normal minimum of 6.8° C, the Met department said. — PTI
