Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably above normal in west Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajsthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in Punjab. The lowest temperature in the plains was 4.0C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab). Forecast valid until the morning of 21st December 2004:
Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal.
