Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Punjab. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Dharamsala 1, Jammu and Kashmir: Banihal and Batote 5 each, Pahalgam 4, Kupwara, Quazigund and Srinagar 3 each and Katra 2 and Punjab: Amritsar 1.

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Punjab and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 8.6°C recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).
