Snow in higher reaches of HP

Chandigarh, November 24
Dense fog engulfed a few places in Punjab and Haryana today, affecting life while higher peaks of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh received snow during the past two days.

The fog reduced visibility at Amritsar, Adampur, Halwara and Bathinda.

A report from Sangrur said two women were killed and 14 sustained injuries in a head-on collision between a jeep and a mini truck near Dhanaula on the Sangrur-Barnala road probably due to dense fog which had engulfed the area.

Meteorological Department sources said foggy conditions also engulfed Ambala and Karnal.

Sirsawa and Suratgarh were also engulfed by fog.

Patsio in Himachal received snow while the Dras sector and higher reaches of Gulmarg reported snow.

Many trains coming from Delhi got delayed due to the fog. — PTI
