Monsoon has been vigorous in Uttaranchal.

Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Shimla 1, East Uttar Pradesh: Palliakalan 7, Bhinga 5, Katerniaghat 4, Ayodhya and Bahraich 3 each, Balrampur 2 and Allahabad and Kakardharighat 1 each, west Uttar Pradesh:
