Monsoon has been vigorous in Uttar Pradesh and active in Uttaranchal.

Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Rajasthan and at isolated places in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Guhla 1, Himachal Pradesh: Kasauli, Rajgarh and Shimla 1 each, east Rajasthan: Baseri 3 , Bari, Mawali, Sepau, Udaipur A.P. and Veja 2 each and Asind, Govindgarh, Khiwsar, Roopwas and Railmogra 1 each, west Rajasthan: Barmer 2 and Bikaner, Bilara and Sanchaur 1 each, east Uttar Pradesh: Shardanagar 48, Neemsar 27, Pallinkalan 20, Hanumansetu 15, Bani 14, Lucknow Control Room 13, Bhatpurwaghat, Dalmau, Kanpur and Lucknow A.P. 11 each, Bahraich and Hamirpur 3 each, Banda and Elginbridge 4 each, Allahabad,Challaghat, Phaphamau and Rae Bareilly 3 each, Sultanpur 2 and Ayodhya and Kakardharighat 1 each, west Uttar Pradesh: Mohana 16, Auraiya 13, Kalpi 12, Ankinghat 11, Shahjina 5 each, Agra and Dabri 3 each and Etawah and Fatehgarh 2 each and Uttaranchal: Banbasa and Srinagar 4 each, Mukteshwar 2 and Joshimath, Rudrapryag and Tehri 1 each.
