The monsoon has been vigorous in east Uttar Pradesh.
Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Panchkula 3 and Naraingarh 1, Himachal Pradesh: Sharampur, Ghamroor, Kahu, Kandaghat, Rampur Bushahar, Shimla and Solan 1 each, Punjab: Ropar 1, East Rajasthan: Dhambola 4, Bassi 3, Dholpur, Kanba, Sonara and Sawai Madhopur 2 each and Baseri and Bagidora 1 each, East Uttar Pradesh: Hamirpur 12, Chillaghat 9, Banda and Kanpur 6 each, Bahraich, Dalmau, Lucknow A.P. and Rae Bareilly 3 each and Allahabad, Bhatpurwaghat, Elginbridge, Hanumansetu, Kakardharighat, Neemsar and Shardanagar 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Shahjina 12, Kalp 6 and Mohana 2 and Uttaranchal: Banbasa 2 and Dehradun and Haripur 1 each.
