Rainfall:
Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh
and Uttaranchal, at many places in Uttar Pradesh and at a few places
in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and east Rajasthan. Weather was mainly
dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm
are: Haryana: Naraingarh 12, Jagadhari 7, Karnal and Thanesar 6 each,
Kalka 5, Pehowa 3, Panchkula 2 and Chandigarh and Delhi Ridge 1 each,
Himachal Pradesh: Dharampur 8, Kandaghat 7, Sujanpurtira 6, Barsar,
Dehragopipur, Kahu and Nadaun 4 each Baggi, Dharmshala, Guler,
Kasauli, Pandoh and Sundernagar 3 each, Berthin and Jhandutta 2 each
and Kasol, Paonta and Shimla 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Quazigund 1,
east Rajasthan: Rajakhera 15, Bhadesar 8, Dholpur 7, Angai and
Nimbahera 5 each and Baseri, Basua, Bansur, Gangdhar and Talabshahi 1
each, east Uttar Pradesh: Raebareilly 25, Palliakalan 10, Sultanpur 8,
Ayodhya 7, Khadda 6, Bhatpurwaghat 5, Dalmau 4, Katerniaghat and
Shardanagar 3 each, Bahraich 2 and Balrampur, Bhinga and
Chandradeepghat 1 each, west Uttar Pradesh: Moradabad 6, Hindon and
Sarsawa 5 each, Etawah and Narora 4 each, Bareilly 2 and Auraiya,
Fatehgarh and Kalpi 1 each and Uttaranchal: Dehra Dun and Marora 5
each, Rishikesh and Uttarkashi 4 each, Hardwar and Tehri 3 each and
Banbasa 2. Forecast valid until the morning of September 17: Rain or
thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar
Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Jammu and
Kashmir, Punjab and east Rajasthan and at isolated places in west
