Lama hopeful about Tibetan cause

His Holiness the Dalai Lama, today said that though the Tibetan cause was “hopeless”, he was still hopeful about its resolution.

Centre releases Rs 11 crore for Punjab prisons

The Central Government has released Rs 11 crore for improving the condition of jails in Punjab. This is, perhaps, the first time that the state's Prison Department has managed to secure "such a huge amount" from the Centre.
