Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Uttaranchal, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Delhi: Ridge and New Delhi (Safdarjung) 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Shimla 2, West Uttar Pradesh: Bareilly 1 and Uttaranchal: Mukteshwar, Pantnagar and Tehri 1 each.

Temperatures: Past 24-hour change: Maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh, fell in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan, above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan, below normal in Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 46.4°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 8: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. Isolated duststorms or thunderstorms are likely in Rajasthan.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 8: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain/thundershower accompanied with squall in some areas. Fall in day temperature. Maximum temperature will be around 36°C.
