Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir, fell appreciably in west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departure: This was appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, above normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the regon. The highest temperature in the region was 44.3°C recorded at Churu.

Forecast valid until the morning of May 12: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 12: Mainly clear sky. Maximum temperature will be around 42°C.
