FOUNDATION DAY: USPC Jain Public School celebrated its 16th Foundation Day. Sadhvi Sheela Bahenji, who laid the foundation stone of this institute, blessed all and prayed for further growth of this establishment. Management members along with their families, Principal and entire staff of the school recited Navkar Mantra which was followed by various bhajans. Children of school also presented bhajans.

CAMP: The Ludhiana Midtown Jaycees organised a free eye check-up and operation camp at Baba Namdev Charitable Hospital, Shastri Nagar, here on Sunday. It was inaugurated by Mr Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, SAD candidate from the Ludhiana parliamentary seat. Mr Kanwaljit Singh Dua, president, SAD youth wing, Ludhiana city, was also present. Patients were examined and operated upon by Dr Ramesh of Mansooran and Dr Harbhajan Singh Arora. As many as 250 patients were examined and 20 operated upon. Dr Jasbir Singh Bawa, Mr K.D.S. Walia, Mr Sanjay Gupta, Mr Jaspreet Singh, Mr Sohan Singh, Mr Inderbir Singh Nanda, Mr S.S. Sohal, Mr Gurpreet Singh Dua, Mr Mohinder Singh, Mr Avtar Singh, Mr Inderpal Singh, Mr Balwinder Singh and Mr Rajesh Gandhi, all members of the club, were present.

BLOOD DONATION: A blood donation camp was organised by the Punjab unit of the Indian Red Cross Society in collaboration S.S. Jain Sabha in Phase VI here today. The camp was organised to celebrate Mahavir Jayanti. As many as 35 persons donated blood at the camp. Children also presented a cultural programme based on the teachings of Lord Mahavir.
