Rainfall:
Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24-hour change: Maximum temperatures changed little.

Departures: They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and above normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 41.9°C recorded at Sultanpur (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 3: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in Haryana, Punjab and north Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 3: Generally cloudy sky with possibility of thundery development/light rain in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 36°C.
