Our Sports Reporter

Chandigarh, March 18
The one day Indo-Pak tie to be played at Peshawar tomorrow has raised people’s expectations, with everybody expecting the match to be as exciting as the previous ones. Cricket, which is a religion in India, has never got this kind of publicity and sponsorship.

Commenting on the eve of the Peshawar ODI, Mr Praveen Paul, proprietor of a showroom in Sector 35, said both India and Pakistan stand equal chance. Praveen said very few customers with whom he had interaction in his showroom were of the view that again the ODI will be a close affair.

Hitesh, a corporate executive with Reliance Infocom, echoed similar views.

Kanwaljeet Kaur, a housewife, said earlier her husband used to tell her the score and she was in the habit to knowing only the final result. But after watching the last two matches on TV, I am just waiting for the tomorrow’s tie, which might be more exciting. She expected Sachin and Dravid to shine for India.

Aruna Bhardwaj, a school teacher with DAV Public School, Sector 8, said though her husband is a former Ranji player, she never got much excited after watching any ODI. The present series between India and Pakistan has attracted everyone’s attention and now it is the talk every where you go, especially on the match day.
