Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at most places in Jammu and Kashmir and at many places in Himachal Pradesh. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Punjab and at isolated places in Haryana and west Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cms are: Himachal Pradesh: Baijnath 2 and Ghamroor 1; Jammu and Kashmir: Banihal and Batote 5 each, Quazigund 4, Jammu 2 and Srinagar 1; and Punjab: Amritsar 2 and Adampur, Bhatinda, Halwara, Nawanshahr and Ludhiana 1 each.

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in west Rajasthan, rose appreciably in Haryana, rose in Himachal Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably above normal in Haryana, above normal in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 5.6°C recorded at Pilani (Rajasthan).
