Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures (past 24 hours change): Minimum temperatures rose in Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: Appreciably below normal in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, East Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in West Rajasthan. The lowest temperature in the plains was 1°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast (valid until the morning of February 9): Weather will be mainly dry over the region.
