Rainfall: Rain, snow occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Rain thundershowers occurred at most places in Punjab and at a few places in Haryana and West Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Dhundhi and Solangnala 5 each, Bhang 3 and Bhuntar, Kangra, Patsio and Pandoh 1 each and Jammu and Kashmir: Batote 3, Pahalgam and Quazigund 2 each.
Temperatures:
Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose markedly in Punjab and West Uttar Pradesh, rose in Haryana and West Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.
Departure:
They were markedly above normal in Punjab, appreciably above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and East Rajasthan, above normal in west Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 6.2°C at New Delhi
(Safdarjung).
