Cold wave conditions have abated in east Uttar Pradesh. However, these still prevail in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh.

Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry in the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were appreciably below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and West Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 4.`B0C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 12: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 12: Mainly clear sky. Mist in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 7C.
