GLITZ&GLAMOUR
The winter’s wrath has left the Capital shiverrrringg… And for once it is fashionable to be the least fashionable and pull out all those woollens and mufflers and caps, which grandmother prescribed to keep the chill at bay. The icy wind that has been blowing in the Capital has ensured that even dames who would turn their noses at woollen caps have turned them into fashion statements. Caps with cute little blobs are suddenly fashionable as are shawls and long coats, especially ones in leather (even fake). Shawls in various colours and hues and stoles to match the moods are also a good option to protect yourself from the cold without spoiling the look. Whether it is the Kashmiri embroidery, which fascinates all age groups, or the spunky bandini from Gujarat, shawls and stoles are the in thing this freezing winter. While most brands have come out with their “unique and exquisite” winter wear, you can also take a look at the local markets for some cheerful woollens, which don’t cost a pile either. And with the winter blues affecting the mood, the mix and match that winter allows also permits you to experiment with bright shades.
