Mr Ashok Chitkara founded Chitkara Educational Trust in 1997 with the sole aim of providing quality education with integration of latest state-of-art teaching methodology.

Mr Chitkara prepares students for admission in prime engineering colleges of the country and to the IITs.

He was in the city today to take classes in Chitkara Institute here. His students said though they had teachers teaching in schools, yet Mr Chitkara taught them to solve the mathematics problems in one minute. Speed was very important, and he help them develop speed, they claimed.

Talking to Ludhiana Tribune Mr Chitkara said, “From a school master to have my own institute of engineering and technology was something I always aspired for. I am committed to provide high-quality technical education in a stimulating learning environment. I have created a platform through Chitkara Institute of Competitions, that helps all the IIT-JEE aspirants to compete successfully.

Starting as a primary teacher almost three decades ago, Mr Chitkara kept on upgrading his knowledge and educational qualifications, and went on to become a teacher of mathematics teaching senior classes in a Central School branch in Chandigarh. He later became a university lecturer and reached the post of Reader. He quit later to open his institute.

Students celebrate Gurpurb

Ludhiana, January 4
Tiny tots of Kiddies Paradise, Kochar Market, celebrated avtar divas of Guru Gobind Singh with religious devotion and fervour. The school campus was decorated with flowers.

The celebrations started with the shabad 'Deh Shiva var mohe' and the atmosphere became more devotional and pious when the little ones chanted ''Wahe wahe Gobind Singh, aape Guru chela''.

Principal Gulshan Kaur highlighted the sacrifices of Guru Gobind Singh and termed him as a great saint-soldiers who sacrificed the whole family and infused the spirit of bravery into the coming generations. Tiny tots served langar to all on the occasion.
