Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cms are: Jammu and Kashmir: Banihal and Pahalgam 1 each.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Haryana, fell in Punjab and west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were below normal in Punjab and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 1°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 26: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 26: Cold day. Fog till forenoon. Minimum temperature will be around 6°C.
