Rain or snow has occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and few places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Punjab and isolated places in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

The chief amounts of rainfall are: Himachal Pradesh: Bangana, Bhuntar, Bharwain, Pandoh, Rajgarh, Shimla, Sundernagar and Una 1 cm each. Jammu and Kashmir: Batote and Quazigund 3 cm each, Jammu 2 cm and Srinagar 1cm. Punjab: Amritsar and Batala 2 cm each and Nangal 1 cm. Uttaranchal: Tehri 1 cm.

Snowfall (in cms): Dhundhi 30, Solangnala 5 and Bhang and Patsio 2 each.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were markedly above normal in Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in Jammu and Kashmir. The lowest temperature in plains was 8.5 oC recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of November 19: Rain or snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Punjab, a few places in Haryana and isolated places in north Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of November 19: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain/thundershowers in some areas. Mist in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 12 oC.

Farmers’ weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of November 19: Light rain is likely at a few places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
