Weather was dry over the region.
Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed a little. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, above normal in east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 37.9°C recorded at Jalore (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures changed a little. Departure: They were appreciably below normal in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 11.6°C recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 17: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
