17 fresh dengue cases in city

Ludhiana, October 13
Seventh fresh cases of dengue have been reported at the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital in the past 24 hours. Now the total number of patients suffering from dengue-like symptoms has reached 251 from which 123 are from Ludhiana.

Earlier, the Health Department officials had claimed that majority of the dengue patients came from other districts of the state and there was no need to panic as the number of patients from the city was very low.

Officials in the department maintained they one could not do much in this situation except for making people aware to dry their coolers, pots etc.
