Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed little. Departure: They were above normal in Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 39.6°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were normal over the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 15.7°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 9: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
