Ravindra School beat Jheel

New Delhi, September 30
Ravindra School defeated Jheel Khuranji Senior Secondary School No 1 by eight wickets in the fourth Parle Cup Inter-School Under-17 Cricket Tournament at the Bharat Nagar ground.

Scores: Jheel Khuranji: Narender Kumar 62, Vipul Gupta 3 for 31, Sawej Khan 2 for 32). Ravindra School: 160 for 2 in 29 overs (Anuj Jain 78, Hemant Singh 51 n o).

Sardar Patel Vidyalaya defeated Guru Harkishan Public School, India Gate by 138 runs at the Sardar Patel ground.

Scores: Sardar Patel: 323 for 4 in 40 overs (Ananya Sen 118, Akash 103, A. Singh 2 for 49). Guru Harkishan Public School: 185 all out in 31.5 overs (M. Malhotra 51, Anuj Arora 45, K. Kaul 4 for 41, Abhimanyu Lamba 3 for 32).

Scuba diving camp for NCC cadets

New Delhi, September 30
The NCC DTE Delhi held a three-week scuba diving camp for NCC cadets at the Talkatora swimming pool. The naval divers of Indian Naval Diving team conducted a comprehensive course for both boys and girls cadets of the NCC of all three wings—Navy, Army and Air Force—of Delhi directorate. These cadets belonged to various colleges of Delhi and are enrolled in the NCC.C.

A similar camp was held in Delhi from July 17 to August 14. The scuba diving camp included extensive swimming with and without fins and physical training, followed by professional exposure to diving to depths and sustaining for long periods with different kinds of breathing apparatus.

Hansraj Model enter semis

An all-round display by Manu Sharma helped Hansraj Model School defeat J D Tytler School by 47 runs in the quarter-final of the 14th Radha Kishan Cricket Tournament, organised by the Cambridge Foundation.

Scores: Hansraj Model School: 232 for 6 in 30 overs J D Tytler: 185 all out in 27.1 overs. OSR

Vaneet made Test observer

New Delhi
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has appointed director of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) Vaneet Kumar as observer for the second Test match between India and New Zealand to be held at Mohali from October 16 to 20, according to DDCA vice-president C K Khanna.
