114 patients examined

Ludhiana, September 28
As many as 114 patients were examined at a free medical check-up camp organised by the local branch of Bharat Overseas Bank Limited at Dr D.N. Kotnis Health and Education Centre, Salem Tabri, here yesterday. Medicines were distributed free of cost among patients.

A panel of renowned doctors — Dr Ajit Singh Chawla and Dr Sunil, both paediatrics; Dr Inderjit Singh Ahuja, cardiologist; Dr Rajinder Singh, eyes specialist; and Dr Charanjit Uppal — examined the patients.

Earlier, Chowdhary Madan Lal Bagga, councillor, Ward No. 4, Municipal Corporation, formally inaugurated the camp. Mr K.N. Singh Gahlot, Branch Manager, welcomed the chief guest and dwelt on bank’s history, now jointly owned by seven banks.

The councillor appreciated the bank’s effort towards organising such a camp. He honoured the doctors with shawls and mementoes.

Mr Gahlot thanked the chief guest and presented him with a memento as a token of affection and appreciation. He announced that the bank would conduct related activities in future as well.
