Chautala lays stone of Technology Park

Faridabad, August 18
The foundation of an information technology centre, known as Haryana Technology Park, was laid in a plot on National Highway 2 yesterday by the Chief Minister of Haryana. It is claimed that the park which will be ready in the next three to four years will have an investment of about Rs 300 crore and give job opportunities to 24,000 persons.

The state’s export in the IT sector has already touched the Rs 4,450 crore mark a year while the total exports from Haryana had

been worth about Rs 10,000 crore. Representatives of the US Embassy, Nasscom, the CII, the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the World Bank were also present on the occasion.

CM’s directive on encroachments

The Chief Minister, Mr Om Prakash Chautala, has directed officials to book a case against anyone who found encroaching on government land again after the

Encroachments have been removed. Presiding over the monthly meeting of the District Grievances Committee last evening, he said encroachments must be removed.

He asked the residents to put up complaints and not suggestions. The foundation stone of a new bridge across Gurgaon Canal was also laid on Sunday.
