Tiny tots enact Bal Leela Ludhiana, August 18 Ms Rajeshwari Dhir, Principal, asked the kids to follow the preaching of the Geeta and spread the message of love, sharing and caring. At Chandamama Play School, tiny tots came dressed as Lord Krishna and “gopis”. They depicted Bal Leela by playing hide and seek. Ms Harpreet K. Gill, Principal, said the function was organised to acquaint the kids with the celebrations attached to the festival. |
A treat for melody lovers Ludhiana, August 18 Artistes sang hit songs of yesteryears thereby reviving memories of the golden period of bygone era. The programme started with a song ‘Diwana mastana hua dil jane kahan’ sung by Randhir Kanwal and Ashima. They sang another popular song ‘Aadha hai chandrma, raat aadhi.’ Other singers who regaled the audience were Kulwant Singh, Seema Panchi and Cheenu Panchi. So melodious was their rendering of the songs and ghazals that the audience urged them to belt out one song after the other and the programme went on till late in the night. The president of the club, Mr N.S. Nanda, and the general secretary, Mr Vinod Thapar, said the club would organise more such programmes in future. |
