Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have been reported at many places in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Haryana and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was mainly dry in Punjab. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Ballabhgarh 9, Palwal 7, Pataudi 5, Bhang 4, Bawal 3 and Ayanagar and Fatehabad 2 each; Himachal Pradesh: Barsar 7, Sujanpurtira 5, Bhang 4 and Nadaun and Una 3 each; east Rajasthan: Kotkasim, Uchain and Veir 9 each, Sevalahead 8, Baretha 7, Neemrana 6, Ajan and Rajakhera 5 each, Baseri 4, Bayana, Bharatpur, Deeg, Kaman, Khetri and Tatgarh 3 each, Amer, Angai, Deval, Dholpur, Hingota, Jawaja, Nagaur and Ramgarh 2 each and Dungarpur 1; west Rajasthan: Bhagora 9, Satla 7, Sriganganagar 6, Bikaner, Bhinmal and Kalibore 5 each, Jawai Dam and Sahi Dam 4 each, Ahore and Barmer 3 each, Jalore 2 and Jodhpur and Kollayat 1 each; east Uttar Pradesh: Hanumansetu and Lucknow Control Room 7 each, Ankinghat and Ballia 4 each, Chhatnag 3, Allahabad and Palliakalan 2 each and Balrampur, Gorakhpur and Turtipar 1 each, west Uttar Pradesh: Kalpi 4, Agra 3 and Hamirpur and Shahjina 2 each, Uttaranchal: Banbasa, Haripur and Pantnagar 1 each; and Jammu and Kashmir: Basoli 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of July 25: Rain or thundershowers are likely at many places in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at a few places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely in Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh during the next 48 hours.
