Heavy rain likely in Punjab, HP

New Delhi, July 7
Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have been reported at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, at a few places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and at isolated places in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Kalka and Sirsa 2 each and Fatehabad 1; Himachal Pradesh: Rampur Bushahr 3, Bharwain, Ghamroor, Kangra and Sundernagar 2 each and Berthin 1; Jammu and Kashmir: Pahalgam and Quazigund 2 each; Punjab: Bhatinda 8 and Ludhiana 1, East Rajasthan: Lalsot 10, Moral Dam 6, Asind, Banera, Dholpur and Talabshahi 3 each, Bari 2 and Devli 1; West Rajasthan: Churu and Jodhpur 2 each; East Uttar Pradesh: Fatehgarh 5; West Uttar Pradesh: Agra 3; and Uttaranchal: Hardwar 2 and Uttarkashi 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of July 9: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Rajasthan and at a few places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and east Rajasthan during the next 48 hours.
