Fellowship for paediatrician

Ludhiana, June 27
Dr Tejinder Singh of the Department of Paediatrics, Christian Medical College and Hospital, has been selected fellow of the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research Institute.

Dr Rajiv Kapoor, Deputy Medical Superintendent, CMCH, said today that the programme would be held at Sugerloaf Conference Center in Philadelphia, USA, in October.

Dr Tejinder Singh is one of the 12 fellows selected from 10 countries. This is second such honour for him. Last year he was selected by the Swedish International Development Agency for a six-week course in information technology.

Website launched

The website of the Northern Chapter of the Association of Surgeons of India, has been launched by Dr Satish Jain, its president, during the executive body meeting held at Mohan Dai Oswal Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, here recently.

The site — http://www.northchaptersurgeons.com, gives complete introduction about the chapter’s constitution, manual of procedures, directory, newsletter, news bulletin, list and addresses of the executive body and members.

Dr Jain said a CME programme would be organised in October in which Dr Gurdeep Sidhu, Senior Consultant Surgeon of Sidhu Hospital, Doraha, would be the organising secretary.
