Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Rajasthan, at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in Punjab.

The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Kahu 3 and Shimla 1, Jammu and Kashmir: Jammu 2, Batote and Quazigund 1 each, East Rajasthan: Naharsagar 5, Dholpur, Pisangan and Sheoganj 3 each, Asind 2 and Baseri, Bhula, Mandalgarh, Raipur and Rahuwas 1 each, West Rajasthan: Bilara 5 and Jaswantsagar 2, East Uttar Pradesh: Elginbridge 5, Varanasi A.P. 4, Bhinga and Balmikinagar 3 each, Ayodhya 2 and Basti, Bharatpurwaghat, Balrampur, Chanderdeepghat, Chhatnag, Dalmanu and Mukhlispur 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Narora 2.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose largely in west Rajasthan, rose in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab fell in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably below normal in Haryana, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Punjab, west Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region.

The highest temperature in the region was 42°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 23: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, at a few places in Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Rajasthan.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 23: Mainly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thundershowers in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 35°C.
