Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and above normal in the rest of the region.

The highest temperature in the region was 45.7C recorded at Jalandhar (Punjab).

Forecast (valid until the morning of June 16: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood (valid until the morning of June 16: Mainly clear sky. Duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in some areas in the evening or night. Maximum temperature will be around 43°C.
