The Haryana Government is planning to introduce postgraduate courses in various subjects in the CR State College of Engineering at Murthal near Sonepat from the current academic session.
According to official sources, it is the first engineering college where such courses are being introduced in the state. These courses are in biotechnology, bio-informatics, industrial electronics and BTech. More courses in electrical, mechanical, computer and HTech will also be introduced in the college.
The syllabus will be changed from the next academic session and the MBA courses are also likely to be introduced in the college.
The state government has selected four engineering colleges for the assistance of the World Bank. And the CR State College of Engineering is one of them. The college will get financial assistance to the tune of Rs 10 crore. Similarly, other colleges, like YMC College, Faridabad will get Rs 8 crore, USIK College, Kurukshetra will get Rs 5 crore and Guru Jambeshwar University of Hisar Rs 6 crore.
Modern laboratories and hospitals would be constructed to provide all basic amenities to the students of these colleges. The authorities of the CR State College of Engineering have already demanded the setting up of a university here as demanded by the people of the area.
