Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry over the region.

Teimperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell in Haryana, rose in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably below normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and below normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 39.6°C recorded at Barmer and Jalore (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 7th: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in Haryana, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh.Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
