Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: past 24 hours’ change: Maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir, rose in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in west Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 41.6°C recorded at Dholpur (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 24: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 24: Mainly clear sky. Maximum temperature will be around 38°C.

Farmers’ weather bulletin for Delhi: forecast valid until the morning of April 24: Sky will be mainly clear.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
