Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry over the region.

Temperatures: past 24 hours’ change: Maximum temperatures rose in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan and appreciably above normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 43.1°C recorded at Banswara (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 13: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Duststorm/thunderstorm is likely at isolated places in south Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 13: Mainly clear sky with dust haze. Maximum temperature will be around 41°C.
