Rainfall: Weather was dry in the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Haryana, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were largely above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh and west Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and above normal in east Uttar Pradesh. The highest temperature in the region was 42°C recorded at Jalore (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 12: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 12: Partly cloudy sky. Maximum temperature will be around 39°C.
