Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose largely in Jammu and Kashmir, rose appreciably in Himachal Pradesh, fell appreciably in Haryana and east Rajasthan, fell in west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably below normal in Haryana and Rajasthan, below normal in Punjab, above normal in Himachal Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 33.2°C recorded at Tonk (Rajasthan) and Banda (Uttar Pradesh). Past 24-hour change: Minimum temperatures rose in Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were above normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 9.6°C recorded at Sirsa (Haryana). |
