Sports festival The 14th annual sports festival to be organised by the Baba Sardool Singh Sports Club and the local Gram Panchayat will be held from March 26 to 28 at Lehal village, about 20 km from here. This was stated by the village sarpanch, Mr Harpal Singh Lehal. The main attractions of the festival will be the bullock cart races, kabaddi, volleyball and shooting events. Some NRIs belonging to the area, including Mr Sampuran Singh (USA), Mr Gurdev Singh and Gurdial Singh (Canada), are giving financial assistance in conducting these sports, Mr Lehal said.
