Bottoms Up Golf at Forest Hill Chandigarh, March 11 This will add a new dimension to the inter-club golf tournaments around Chandigarh. The Swig and Swing is open to participants from all over. Many combinations which have registered are father and son, husband and wife, parent and children. The entry fee is less than the green fee, which includes free swigs, a light breakfast and lunch. This is to encourage golf in this environment-friendly golf course situated in the foothills of the Shivaliks. The FHR also has croquet for the non-golfers. The croquet will be played on the lush lawns of the resort , leading to a complete family day-out. The celebrations will culminate on March 19 with Pammi Bai enthralling the audience.

Shop raided Chandigarh, March 11 About 10 to 12 officials, reportedly accompanied by police, reached the shop at about 8 pm to "check the records". Terming it as a route exercise, the officials said the intention was just to verify the stocks. The owner of the shop, when contacted on the telephone, confirmed that the presence of the officials. |
