Beating up of labourers denied

The district police today denied beating up any labourer or rounding up anybody without any reason at Behman Jassa Singh village, 10 km from here.
Sources said a police party had allegedly beaten up some migrant labourers on Thursday night suspecting them to be thieves.

Four unidentified car-borne youths looted a petrol station at Fatehgarh Korotana village on the Moga-Dharamkot road, 8 km from here on Friday night and escaped with Rs 29,000, the police said here yesterday.
3 drug pedlars held
