Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. Snowfall report (cms), Himachal Pradesh: Patsio 22 and Dhundhi 4.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell largely in Rajasthan, fell markedly in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were largely below normal in Punjab and west Rajasthan, markedly below normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and east Rajasthan, appreciably below normal in Uttaranchal, appreciably above normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in west Uttar Pradesh. The highest temperature in the region was 35.4°C recorded at Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell largely in west Uttar Pradesh, fell markedly in Haryana, east Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, fell appreciably elsewhere. Departures: They were markedly below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal, appreciably below normal in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Haryana and normal in east Uttar Pradesh. The lowest temperature in the plains was 06.4°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 6: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 6: Mainly clear sky. Fall in day and night temperatures. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 21°C and 09°C, respectively.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
