Ludhiana, February 12
The Punjab Judo Association (PJA) honoured judokas who had won medals in the 32nd National Games at Hyderabad last year. The association organised a function at Guru Ram Dass Academy here today to felicitate them along with their coach and manager who helped the state to with 14 medals.
Mr Partap Singh Bajwa, PWD Minister, gave away the prizes. A watch, a track suit and a kit bag was given to each judoka while a watch at shawl was presented to the coach, Arjuna awardee Narinder Singh, and Surinder Singh, manager of the Punjab judo contingent.
Those honoured include (Gold medal winners): Bhupinder Singh, Yashpal Solanki, Jaipal, Pawan, Parvinder Kaur, Pawandeep Kaur, and Paramjit Kumar.
Silver medal winners: Navjot
Channa, Shamsher Singh, Priyanka Sharma, Sandeep Kaur.
Bronze medal winners: Ashwani Kumar,
Namrata, Harpreet Kaur.
