Three-day Rural Health Mela from Feb 8
New Delhi, February 3
The Government of NCT of Delhi will organise a Divya Jyoti Rural Health Campaign that includes a rally and a three-day-long Rural Health Mela from February 8. Health Minister A.K. Walia and Dr S.K. Arora of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, the collaborating NGO, told media persons that the campaign would include allopathy and the Indian systems of medicine.

Chandni Chowk MLA Vijay Goyal during his visit to the Civil Lines, said as officials are often transferred from one department to another, their responsibilities change which result in the poor civic amenities to the people. There is also total lack of coordination among the various departments.

Three bodies, two of women, recovered; man missing
Sonepat, February 3
Mystery shrouds the death of a housewife Mrs Premvati in her house at Mohalla Bhatan here last night. According to a report, on receipt of information, the police have seized the body and sent it for a post-mortem.

Murder case registered after post-mortem
Rohtak, February 3
The Sampla police have registered a case of murder in connection with the death of a resident of Karor village on the basis of a post-mortem report. Earlier, death of Mr Inder Singh was understood to be the result of an accident and the matter was closed under Section 174 of Cr PC.

One killed, two hurt in mishaps
Bhiwani, February 3
One person was killed and two were injured in separate road accidents in the district. The injured have been admitted to the civil hospital here. According to reports, Pawan, a resident of Samaswas village, was killed on the spot after being hit by an unidentified vehicle while passing by the railway crossing here late on Saturday night.

The district health authorities are determined to make the pulse polio campaign in the district a ‘success’. Their earlier claim about the ‘success’ of the pulse polio campaign in the district turned out to be a great ‘embarrassment’, as polio cases were detected in the district last year.

A stroke-filled unbeaten 91 by Vidur Sethi and a deadly bowling of 3 for 4 by Rohan Rao enabled Gyan Bharti South Delhi Academy defeat Chetan Sharma Academy by 126 runs and bagged the inaugural Chetan Sharma Sports Foundation Under-12 Cricket Tournament at the S S Khalsa School ground in Lajpat Nagar.

Commonwealth Cricket in Delhi
New Delhi, February 3
The second edition of the Raymond Trophy Commonwealth Cricket Tournament, organised by the Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Trust, will be held from February 8 to March 30 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and the Dhyan Chand National Stadium. Commonwealth diplomatic missions based in Delhi and the Indian Parliamentarians’ teams will play in the tournament.
