The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India today redefined the rules of the ongoing tariff war by effectively doubling the fixed line local call charges in urban areas while making all incoming calls free on cellular phones from April 1, 2003, through a multi-structured interconnect regime.

Iran forges strategic ties with India

Iran today became the first major Muslim country to sign a memorandum of understanding with India on road map to strategic cooperation and the visiting Iranian President Sayyed Mohammad Khatami and Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee jointly declared their intent to enhance this cooperation and fight against terrorism together.
