Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Punjab, rose in east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were largely below normal in Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Haryana and Punjab and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 0.4°C recorded at Suratgarh (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 24: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be dry in the rest of the region.

Low temperature warning: Ground frost is likely at many places in Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh and at a few places in Rajasthan during the next two nights.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 24: Clear sky. Mist/fog in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 5°C.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
