POs told to check Gurdev’s accounts

The Vigilance Bureau has directed post offices to check accounts of Gurdev Singh Badal, a former Agriculture Minister, and his family members.

In a letter sent to the post offices, employees have been instructed to send information regarding National Saving Certificates, Kisan Vikas Patras and Indira Vikas Patras being owned by his sons, Suba Singh and Kewal Singh; his brothers, Sohan Singh and Piara Singh; his sisters, Piar Kaur and Karnail Kaur; Kewal Singh’s daughters, Gurinder Kaur and Parminder Kaur; and his grandson Jagdish Singh. The authorities have also been ordered to seal his accounts.
