Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Haryana, fell in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were appreciably below normal in Uttaranchal, below normal in Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plain was 1.4°C recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 31: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of Dec 31: Clear sky. Mist in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 5°C.
